Snowmobile report for North East Saskatchewan

December 7, 2009:
The first few days of snowmobile season has arrived in North East Saskatchewan.

We have snow and more is on its way this weekend. I believe that the local snowmobile club is ready to get the snowmobile trails in great condition, all we need is a little more snow. Last week we received about 3 inches of powdery snow. The fields are not yet fully covered but the snowfall this weekend coming up should improve that situation.

I was at Nipawin on the weekend and noticed that they had slightly less snow cover than we have but nevertheless their snow will come as well and the snowmobile trails there will be ready soon.

Once again, I would like to invite anyone interested to visit our website for information on accommodations for snowmobiling. www.wildernessranchcanada.ca/snowmobile

Getting ready for sledding

Is sounds like snow is on its way!!

The temperature is supposed to get cooler by the weekend and there is snow fall in the forecast for the next few days. We are hoping for a substantial snowfall soon so that we can get out and start snowmobiling.
For those who do not know us, we are Larry and Corrina Kapeller. We own and operate Eastview Wilderness Guest Ranch in Northeast Saskatchewan. We are very close to the Pasquia Hills and Pasquia Provincial forest where wilderness snowmobile trails are groomed and abundant. We usually get a good snowfall so that snowmobile trails are prime for all types of snowmobile trips. We get families who like to go on day snowmobile rides, have wiener roasts and sight see. Other snowmobile groups are couples, guys only weekends and sometimes girl only snowmobile groups.

We are in a perfect position for snowmobiling due to having groomed snowmobile trails through the Pasquia hills to the East of us towards Hudson Bay and South towards Greenwater Provincial Park as well as Nipawin to the North.

We are really looking forward to this winter's snowmobile season. If you are interested in our ranch and the accommodations we offer for snowmobiling groups our website address is http://wildernessranchcanada.ca/snowmobile.html
