Perfect Snowmobile Conditions in Northeast Saskatchewan

Finally, the snow has arrived - quite fast and furious, however, but snow just the same. We have a excellent snow base now for snowmobile trails in the forested areas as well as the open prairie/field areas. The local snowmobile club has been out this last week of January 2010 signing and grooming all of the snowmobile trails.

The snowmobile trail system is now complete and groomed North to Carrot River, Nipawin and the Narrow Hills Provincial Park, East to Hudson Bay and the Pasquia Hills Provincial Forest and South to Greenwater National Park and area.

The Eastview Wilderness Ranch located in the middle of all of this perfect snowmobile conditions is now open for accommodations for all types of snowmobile enthusiasts. January 2010 Snowmobile Conditions in NorthEast Saskatchewan

So here we are a couple of weeks into the new year and still not enough snow in the fields here to do much snowmobiling. There has been some work done on the forested trails between us and Hudson Bay but not much for grooming the trails yet. We have been getting snow on and off again over the snowmobile season but it just has not yet accumulated into much. There are a few locals who have been snowmobiling around the area a little but they have to be pretty careful where they go.

Overall, between the small amount of snow and the wind and warm weather our snowmobile conditions are not prime. I will keep in touch and hopefully have some better news in the weeks ahead.
